Projects
Multi-phase work with milestones, milestone invoicing, contracts, and project profit tracking.
Create a project (or build one from an estimate)
Create a project in Dispatch Bros from the Projects page: name it, pick the customer, set the contract value — or attach existing estimates so the approved estimate seeds the contract and payment schedule.
Set up project milestones and invoice per milestone
Break a project's contract into a payment schedule — deposit, stages, final — then create a draft invoice for each milestone with one click. Nothing is ever sent automatically.
Track project profit and loss (P&L)
See a project's profit at a glance in Dispatch Bros: revenue from invoices and linked jobs versus costs from expenses, subcontractors, and technician payouts. Owner and admin only.
Manage contracts on a project
Create, view, send, and track e-sign contracts from a project's Contracts tab — upload a PDF, write one, use a template, or build it from an estimate, then follow it from Draft to Completed.
Project vs Job: when to use which
A job is one dispatch visit with one close. A project is the umbrella over a multi-stage engagement — payment schedule, invoices, expenses, contracts, and the jobs themselves.
Add change orders to a project
When the scope changes after a contract is signed, raise a change order from the project or the contract itself — the customer signs it, and the project's schedule and contract value follow automatically.
