Print a Review QR card for technicians to show customers

Last updated: Aug 24, 2026

The Review QR page (in the left sidebar) gives every active job source a ready-to-use QR code built from its smart feedback link. A technician can show it fullscreen on their phone at the end of a job, you can print it as a card for the truck or the counter, or download the PNG for flyers and invoices. Scanning it opens the source's star-rating page — happy customers get routed to Google, unhappy ones to a private form.

Before you start

  • The source needs its smart link, which exists once you save the source's Google review link in Automations → Sender Numbers (set a review link per source). Sources without one show "Smart link not set" and their QR buttons are disabled, with the hint "Configure under Automations → Sender Numbers."
  • At least one job source must be active — otherwise the page shows "No active job sources" and asks you to "Activate at least one job source to generate review QR codes."

Step 1 — Open Review QR

  1. Click Review QR in the left sidebar.
  2. Each active source appears as a card with its color, its assigned sender number (or "No sender assigned"), and its smart link.

Step 2 — Show, print, or share the QR

Every card has five actions:

  • Open QR — a preview modal with the QR code. From there you can tap the code for fullscreen ("Tap QR for fullscreen"), or use Print Card and Download PNG.
  • Fullscreen — a full-screen QR headed "Scan to leave a review" with the source name. Hand the phone or tablet to the customer; tap Done to exit.
  • Print — opens a print-ready card in a new window and triggers your printer dialog. Print it, cut it out, and keep it in the truck.
  • Copy Link — copies the smart link itself (toast: "Smart link copied") so you can paste it into a text or email.
  • Open Smart Link — opens the customer-facing page in a new tab so you can test the flow yourself.

What your customer sees

Scanning the QR opens the source's smart feedback page: a star-rating screen branded with the business name. A 4-5 star rating redirects them straight to your Google review link; a lower rating opens a private feedback form that goes only to your team. Details: How the Smart Link works.

Troubleshooting

  • All three QR buttons are disabled on a card — the source has no smart link yet ("Smart link not set"). Save its Google review link in Automations → Sender Numbers and reload.
  • "Enable pop-ups to print the review QR card" — your browser blocked the print window. Allow pop-ups for Dispatch Bros and click Print again.
  • "Could not generate QR for printing" — the QR image failed to render. Try again; if it persists, use Download PNG from the Open QR modal and print the image directly.
  • "Could not load sources." — the page couldn't fetch your sources. Check your connection and reload.
  • A source is missing from the page — only active job sources are listed. Reactivate it on the Job Sources page.

FAQ

What does the customer see when they scan the QR?

The source's smart link opens: a star-rating page. High ratings go straight to your Google review page; low ratings open a private feedback form only you see.

Can a technician show the QR without printing anything?

Yes — open Review QR on a phone, tap the source's Fullscreen button, and hand the phone to the customer to scan. It shows a large QR with 'Scan to leave a review'.

Why are a source's QR buttons grayed out?

The source has no smart link yet ('Smart link not set'). Add the source's Google review link in Automations → Sender Numbers first — that generates the smart link the QR encodes.

Nothing happens when I click Print — why?

Your browser blocked the print pop-up. Dispatch Bros shows 'Enable pop-ups to print the review QR card' — allow pop-ups for the app and try again.
