Set a different Google review link for each phone number
Last updated: Sep 1, 2026
When one job source has several phone numbers — say, one tracking number per Google Business Profile listing — each number can carry its own Google review link. A customer who called that line is then routed to that exact listing when they leave a review, instead of a single catch-all page. You set this up in Automations → Sender Numbers by expanding the source's row; numbers without their own link simply fall back to the source-level link.
Before you start
- Set the source-level review link first (per-source review link) — it's the fallback for every number that doesn't have its own.
- Collect the review URL for each Google Business Profile listing.
- Numbers show their directory name in the panel's Business name column — naming your numbers makes this screen much easier to work with.
Step 1 — Expand the source's number panel
- Go to Automations → Sender Numbers.
- In the Job Source column, sources that have numbers grouped under them show a toggle like "6 numbers · 4 with review link". Click it to expand the panel.
- The panel lists every number under the source with columns Number, Business name, Google review link, and SMS. Under the business name sits the number's GBP address ("City, ST 98503" — click it to copy the full address), so name, address, link and number read as one line of business. The source's assigned sender is tagged with a Sender badge.
Step 2 — Paste each number's link
- The Google review link input on each row is always open — paste the listing's review URL straight in.
- Press Enter or click the green check to save; you'll see "Review link saved". Click the X to revert an unsaved edit.
- Once saved, an external-link button appears so you can open and verify the destination, plus that number's own Smart Link chip with Copy and QR Code actions.
The source row itself always shows the source-level Smart Link chip with Copy and QR Code, whether or not a source-level review link has been added — that is the link the automation texts, and the gate picks the destination per number.
The panel's footer states the fallback rule: "Numbers without their own link fall back to the source review link above."
For many numbers at once, use bulk import from a spreadsheet instead of typing row by row.
How the routing works
- Automated review requests — the link a customer receives resolves the business line they actually called through the job. If that number has its own review link, a 4-5 star rating redirects to that listing; otherwise the source-level link is used.
- Per-number smart link — the Copy / QR Code actions on a number's row produce a smart link tied to that specific line, so even a hand-delivered QR scan is attributed to the right listing. The per-number smart link only appears once the number has its own review link saved (a smart link with no destination would dead-end high-star customers).
- The customer-facing page also shows the line's business name — see How the Smart Link works.
Troubleshooting
- "Enter a valid URL (https://…)" — the pasted text isn't a complete http(s) address. Copy the full review URL from Google.
- No expand toggle on a source — the source has no numbers grouped under it yet. Numbers group by the source's assigned sender and by call flow names that match the source; assign a sender number first.
- A number's smart link chip is missing — the number has no review link of its own yet. Save one and the chip appears.
- Customers land on the wrong listing — check whether the number's own link overrides the source link you expected, and verify each saved URL with its open-in-new-tab button.
FAQ
Why would a phone number need its own review link?
If you run multiple Google Business Profile listings under one brand (one per city or service area), each listing has its own tracking number. Giving each number its own link sends the customer to the exact listing they found and called.
Which link wins — the number's link or the source's link?
The number's own link wins for customers attributed to that line. Numbers without their own link fall back to the source-level review link.
How does Dispatch Bros know which number the customer called?
Job-attributed review links resolve the line through the job's original call. The per-number smart link (and its QR code) carries the number directly, so scans are attributed too.
I have hundreds of numbers — do I have to type each link?
No. Use the Import review links button to paste a two-column sheet of phone number + review URL and apply them all at once.
