Set a Google review link per job source
Last updated: Aug 24, 2026
Each job source can hold its own Google review URL, so a Yelp-branded job and a Google-branded job each send customers to the right listing. You set it in Automations → Sender Numbers, in the Review Link column of the source's row. Once saved, the link powers two things: the source's smart feedback link (happy customers get redirected to this Google page) and automated review requests after job completion.
Before you start
- Copy the review URL from the Google Business Profile that belongs to
this source/brand. It typically starts with
https://g.page/r/— the input's placeholder shows the same pattern. - You need an active job source (create one).
Step 1 — Open the source's Review Link cell
- Go to Automations in the left sidebar and open the Sender Numbers tab.
- Find the source's row. In the Review Link column, click Add review link (or the pencil that appears on hover if a link is already set).
Step 2 — Paste and save the URL
- Paste the Google review URL into the input.
- Press Enter or click the green check to save. You'll see the "Review link saved" toast.
- The saved link shows as a clickable chip — click it any time to open the Google page in a new tab and confirm it's the right listing.
If the URL isn't valid you'll see "Enter a valid URL (https://…)" — the link must start with http or https.
Step 3 — Use the Smart Link it unlocks
Once a review link is saved, a Smart Link chip appears under it with two actions:
- Copy — copies the source's smart feedback link (you'll see "Smart link copied"). Text or email it to customers.
- QR Code — opens a "Smart Link QR Code" preview you can download as a PNG.
The smart link is the star-rating gate: 4-5 star customers get sent to this Google review URL, lower ratings go to a private feedback form. Full detail: How the Smart Link works. For a print-ready version technicians can show in the field, see Print a Review QR card.
Troubleshooting
- "Enter a valid URL (https://…)" — the text you pasted isn't a full
web address. Copy the complete link from Google (including
https://). - High-star customers aren't reaching Google — the source may have no review link (they see a thank-you screen instead), or a phone number under this source has its own per-number link that overrides the source-level one. Check the expanded number panel — the footer reminds you: "Numbers without their own link fall back to the source review link above."
- You removed a link by mistake — saving an empty input shows "Review link removed". Just paste the URL again and save.
- The wrong listing opens — you probably pasted another brand's URL. Click the saved link chip to verify where it goes, then edit it.
FAQ
Where do I get my Google review link?
In your Google Business Profile, use the 'Ask for reviews' / share-review option to copy the short review URL (it usually looks like https://g.page/r/...). Paste that into the Review Link column.
What does the review link actually do?
It becomes the destination for that source's smart feedback link and automated review requests — customers who rate 4-5 stars are sent straight to this Google page.
What if a source has no review link?
Its smart link still works, but high-star customers see a thank-you screen instead of being redirected to Google. Review requests are far less effective without a link, so add one for every source you send requests from.
Can different phone numbers under the same source have different review links?
Yes — expand the source row to give each number its own Google review link. Numbers without their own link fall back to the source-level link.
