Let customers book online with your booking link
Last updated: Aug 24, 2026
Every Dispatch Bros company gets a public booking page where customers request service online — no login needed. Your link lives in Settings → General under Public Booking Link: click Copy and paste it into your website, Google Business Profile, or text messages. Bookings arrive as requests with a reference number, and your team confirms them with the customer.
Before you start
- You need an owner, admin, or (with settings access) dispatcher login to change booking rules.
- Set your Company Time Zone first — booking dates and same-day rules follow it.
- Add your company address in Company Profile if you plan to enforce a service-area radius.
Step 1 — Copy your booking link
- Open Settings in the left sidebar (the General tab).
- Find the Public Booking Link card — "Share this link with customers to let them book online."
- Click Copy (you'll see "Booking link copied!") or Open to preview the page in a new tab.
Step 2 — Set your booking rules
Expand the Online Booking Rules card ("Control how customers can book through your public booking page.") and adjust:
- Accept online bookings — the master switch. Off means the page shows an unavailable notice instead of the form.
- Customer-facing language — choose between "Request a Service" and "Schedule a Service" wording on the public page.
- Allow same-day bookings — off means the earliest selectable date is tomorrow (in your company time zone).
- Max advance booking (days) — how far ahead customers can book (7 to 365 days).
- Max jobs per time slot — caps overlapping bookings in one window; full slots show as unavailable.
- Enforce service area radius + Service radius (miles) — blocks addresses outside the radius. "Requires a company address set in General settings. Bookings outside this radius will be blocked."
- Closed days (no bookings) — tap weekdays you never take bookings.
- Blocked dates (holidays, closures) — add specific dates.
Click Save Booking Rules when done.
What your customer sees
The public page carries your logo, brand color, and phone number:
- A hero headed "Request a Service" (or "Schedule a Service", per your language setting) with a Get Started button.
- A four-step form: Service (pick a job type), Details (name, phone, email, service address), Schedule (date and time window, or a flexible "first available" option, plus a description of the issue), and Confirm (review and submit).
- After submitting, a "Service Request Received" screen (or "Appointment Request Received") with a reference number and a note that you'll reach out to confirm.
The submitted request lands in your account with the Website job source attached, ready to be reviewed and turned into a job.
Troubleshooting
- Customers see "Online Booking Unavailable" — the page says your company "is not accepting online bookings at this time." because Accept online bookings is off. Turn it back on and save.
- "Company Not Found" — the link's company part is wrong or was edited. Re-copy the link from Settings.
- "No company specified" — the link was truncated and lost its company parameter. Share the exact link from the Copy button.
- A customer outside your area was blocked — that's the service area radius working. The error invites them to call you to check; widen the radius or turn off Enforce service area radius if you want those requests.
- A date won't submit — blocked days, blocked dates, the same-day rule, and the max-advance window are enforced again at submit. The error tells the customer to go back to the Schedule step and pick a different date.
- No services listed on the form — the page shows "No services available at this time." when you have no job types. Add job types first.
FAQ
Where do I find my booking link?
Settings, General tab, in the Public Booking Link card. Click Copy to copy it, or Open to preview the page your customers see.
Can I turn online booking off temporarily?
Yes. In Online Booking Rules, uncheck Accept online bookings and save. Visitors then see an Online Booking Unavailable page with your phone number instead of the form.
Do online bookings go straight onto my calendar?
A booking arrives as a request with a reference number. Your team reviews it and reaches out to the customer to confirm - the page tells the customer exactly that.
Can I stop customers outside my area from booking?
Turn on Enforce service area radius and pick a radius in miles. It needs your company address set in General settings; bookings outside the radius are blocked at submit.
